Strengthening Indiana’s Food Economy

Our mission is to strengthen Indiana’s food economy by equipping farmers, buyers, and supply chain partners with the connections, knowledge, and coordination needed to expand access to locally grown food across the state.

We envision an Indiana where farmers prosper through stronger supply chains, and buyers gain dependable access to locally grown food that fuels community health and economic vitality.

FARMWISE Indiana is built on:

  • Trust

  • Relationships

  • Knowledge

  • Partnerships

  • Peer Networks

FARMWISE Indiana evolved from the Indiana Value Chain Network

Our value chain professionals saw a statewide need for farmers, food producers, middle of supply chain businesses, and buyers to connect and build relationships. We actively connect suppliers with buyers throughout regions in Indiana, while also listening and responding to gaps in resources, information, and technical services.

We are an experienced team of value chain professionals

We work with farmers, institutional buyers, suppliers, middle of supply chain partners, and supporting organizations to grow Indiana’s food economy by building a more resilient food system.

We serve farmers, food processors, distributors, middle of supply chain partners, food hubs, schools, universities, hospitals, food security organizations, and food as medicine initiatives.
